Rochelle DeShay

Rochelle DeShay

The carefree spirit and profound wisdom that children naturally embody is a beautiful and joyous gift. While having children of my own was not part of God’s plan, I’ve found deep fulfillment in caring for little ones over the past four decades.
For 20 years, I worked with children in a variety of roles—from daycare centers to family protective services and even supporting teen mothers. Through these experiences, I discovered a calling to help families during the earliest and most tender stages of life.
In 2021, I stepped away from my role with the state to focus on giving back to my community in a more personal way. I completed my postpartum doula training and began supporting women directly in their homes.
Supporting women, babies, and families during the early postpartum months fosters deep connection and essential healing. I believe that strong families are built on strong, nurturing foundations—and it’s an honor to be part of that beginning

Training Organization: Doulas of Austin
